Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures are strictly followed to maintain food safety standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors and toppings based on customer preferences and current trends
- Maintain high-volume production levels while adhering to recipe adherence and quality control measures
- Support food production for catering events or special functions as needed
- Uphold cleanliness standards through regular sanitizing of workstations, utensils, and equipment
Experience
- Previous food service experience with a focus on pizza or similar high-volume food preparation preferred
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food safety sanitizing procedures
- Experience operating kitchen equipment in a fast-paced environment within the food industry or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and food safety management systems is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining efficiency during busy periods
- Background in culinary arts, fine dining, or catering experience will be highly valued
- Proven track record of working with food safety standards and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
