Your New Role:
If you’re an experienced accounting leader who enjoys building strong teams, improving processes, and translating financial data into business decisions, this could be your next opportunity to level up. Join a respected, family-owned multi-entity retailer in a high-impact Controller role where you’ll have a seat at the table and a direct hand in shaping the organization’s continued growth.
In this role, you’ll oversee the full spectrum of accounting operations while providing the financial insight that helps drive strategic decision-making. From leading month-end and year-end close processes to delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting results, and managing treasury functions, you’ll ensure the business has the information it needs to operate confidently and effectively. You’ll also evaluate and strengthen accounting processes, oversee internal controls and audit procedures, support tax compliance efforts, and help identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the organization.
Beyond the numbers, you’ll serve as a leader, coach, and trusted partner. You’ll mentor and develop a talent accounting team, foster a culture of accountability and collaboration, and work closely with executive leadership on key business initiatives, acquisitions, and long-term planning. Success in this role requires the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution while keeping both people and processes moving forward.
The strongest candidates will bring excellent communication skills, sharp analytical instincts, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience with internal control design and audit processes will be especially valuable.
This is a fully onsite position in a beautiful Vancouver office. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as business needs dictate.
