Position Title: Director of Finance

The Director of Finance will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of a governmental entity dedicated to enhancing community health and wellness. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in municipal finance and governmental accounting. The role demands strong analytical skills and the ability to present financial information effectively to a highly engaged Board of Directors.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 / Year DOE
Director of Finance Responsibilities:

Lead all finance and accounting operations

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

Manage cash flow, investments, and banking relationships

Oversee debt, bonds, pensions, and OPEB

Ensure accurate financial reporting, audits, and compliance with government accounting standards

Present financial reports to the Board of Directors

Supervise the accounting team and improve financial processes and internal controls
Director of Finance Requirements:

Local Government or public sector experience is required

5-8+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience

Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting

Experience managing debt, investments, and treasury functions

Supervisory/management experience is required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is required

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint

Master's degree is preferred

CPA is preferred
