Member Duties : The VISTA member will create a fundraising and resource development plan tailored to the specific needs of the organization by planning and implementing fundraiser events, establishing donor relations systems, producing informational products, establishing partnerships with other nonprofit organizations, improving media projection strategies, and establishing volunteer programs. Participants will assist in recurring workshops that include: (1) Workshops and conferences: to learn skills, followed by discussions in which they exchange ideas, troubleshoot problems they face, and generate proposals for change. (2) Raising awareness modules: learn about issues that affect Puerto Rico’s socioeconomic development, as well as the tools they need to create change in these fields. (3) Hard skills modules: Workshops aimed at teaching concrete skills such as fundraising, relationship building, communication, and development skills, as well as using software that helps in these tasks.
