About the Role
As a Recruiting Specialist, you will play an important role in helping good people find good jobs while assisting local companies with their staffing needs.
You will recruit and screen candidates, coordinate interviews, communicate with clients, and help ensure every applicant has a positive experience with our office. This position requires strong communication, organization, customer service, and multitasking skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Proactively recruit candidates for current and upcoming job opportunities
- Review applications and screen candidates for open positions
- Conduct phone and in-person interviews
- Match qualified candidates with appropriate employment opportunities
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and Employment Specialists
- Maintain a qualified pool of associates to meet clients’ short- and long-term staffing needs
- Assist clients with their current and upcoming staffing needs
- Regularly check in with clients to identify additional hiring needs
- Answer incoming phone calls and inquiries professionally
- Respond to emails promptly and with urgency
- Manage applicant information and online applications in a timely manner
- Enter and maintain accurate candidate and client information
- Handle correspondence, documentation, and filing with confidentiality
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, candidates, and associates
- Support the team in reaching weekly recruiting and placement goals
- Assist with general administrative and office responsibilities
- Conduct business in accordance with Express Employment Professionals’ policies and applicable employment laws
- Continue learning about the local job market, recruiting practices, and labor laws

- Outgoing, professional, and comfortable speaking with people over the phone
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Dependable, motivated, and eager to learn
- Able to respond to clients and candidates with professionalism and urgency
- Comfortable learning new software and technology platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
A high school diploma or GED is typically preferred. Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, customer service, sales, hospitality, office administration, or another people-focused position is helpful, but not required.

8:00 AM–5:00 PM
One-hour lunch
