About the Role
We are looking for a motivated, reliable Pest Control Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage a daily route of 15–20 stops across residential and commercial properties, delivering professional pest control services with efficiency, care, and a genuine commitment to client satisfaction. This is a year-round position with a consistent schedule, competitive base pay, and commission earning potential on top.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete a daily route of 15–20 residential and commercial pest control service stops with efficiency and professionalism
- Apply pesticides, treatments, and other pest management solutions in strict accordance with label requirements and applicable regulations
- Diagnose and identify pest issues and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients on-site
- Build strong client relationships through professional, friendly, and knowledgeable service
- Maintain accurate service records, treatment logs, and client communications
- Inspect properties for signs of pest activity, entry points, and conducive conditions
- Operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner
- Collaborate with the office team to manage scheduling, client follow-ups, and service updates
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in pest control, field routing, or a related service-based role — preferred
- Iowa Pesticide Applicator License or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe
- Comfortable managing a high-volume daily route independently and efficiently
- Professional, personable communication style — you will be representing A+ Lawn & Landscape in clients' homes and on their properties every day
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record — required
- Bilingual English/Spanish — preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay on schedule across a full day of stops
- A self-motivated, team-first attitude and genuine pride in delivering quality service
Schedule & Compensation
- $41,000–$43,000 per year base, plus commission
- Year-round, full-time employment
- Typical start time: 7:00 AM
- Average of 15–20 service stops per day
Physical Requirements
This is an active, primarily outdoor role. Candidates must be able to:
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods throughout the workday
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round
- Work in proximity to chemicals and adhere to all required safety protocols and PPE requirements
- Enter confined spaces, crawl spaces, and attics as needed for inspections and treatments
