Responsibilities:
The Senior Financial Crimes Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Analyst supports compliance with the credit union’s Customer Identification Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Program, and Beneficial Ownership requirements under the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). This role ensures adherence to regulatory expectations and internal BSA/AML policies by performing quality control reviews of CDD files for completeness and accuracy, conducting EDD-related research, and reviewing business account documentation to identify discrepancies or potential policy violations. Findings are escalated to business units and BSA management as appropriate.
The position is responsible for monitoring high-risk accounts, documenting policy exceptions, and partnering with business units to assess risks associated with new and existing members through due diligence and suspicious activity reviews. It maintains the due diligence database, performs risk rating activities for consumer accounts, and conducts ongoing monitoring and complex investigations using anti-money laundering (AML) systems.
Additionally, the role provides advanced expertise in business entity due diligence, including validation of entity documentation, beneficial ownership, and CIP requirements. It applies knowledge of business operations and industry characteristics to evaluate account purpose and expected activity, identify anomalies, and support risk-based decision-making. The analyst monitors account activity across account types to ensure alignment with the stated nature of the relationship and ongoing compliance with BSA/AML requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This figure serves as the entry point in our salary range, and there is potential for the actual salary to be higher based on a variety of factors, such as your experience, skills, education, and location.
