Job Title: Sales Manager
Position Overview
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the account management team to drive customer retention, revenue growth, and long-term client relationships for a manufacturing company specializing in window coverings, including Roman shades, drapery, natural woven shades, and roller shades. This role focuses on growing revenue, strengthening key accounts, improving client satisfaction, and ensuring alignment between customer needs and production capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and develop a team of Account Managers responsible for maintaining and growing client relationships.
- Oversee key customer accounts, including distributors, designers, dealers, and commercial clients.
- Establish account management strategies to increase retention, repeat business, and account growth.
- Set performance goals, track KPIs, and conduct regular performance reviews for the account management team.
- Serve as the escalation point for high-level customer issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with production, operations, and design teams to ensure accurate order processing and delivery.
- Analyze customer data, order trends, and account performance to identify opportunities for growth.
- Support pricing strategies, quoting processes, and contract management for key accounts.
- Ensure CRM systems are properly maintained with accurate account activity and communication records.
- Build long-term partnerships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of account management or client relationship experience, preferably in manufacturing, home furnishings, or window coverings.
- 5+ years of leadership or team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of products such as Roman shades, drapery systems, natural woven materials, and roller shades is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of managing and growing key accounts.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
