Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and flexible On-Call Company Driver to support our day-to-day business operations. The driver will primarily operate our company limousine to transport staff, clients, and company representatives, as well as perform other company-related transportation tasks as needed.
This position is ideal for someone with a flexible schedule who can respond to transportation requests on short notice, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate the company limousine and other company vehicles.
- Transport company executives, employees, clients, and guests to designated locations.
- Pick up and drop off personnel at airports, marinas, hotels, meetings, and other business locations.
- Perform company-related errands and deliveries when requested.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of company vehicles.
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections before and after each trip and promptly report any maintenance issues.
- Plan efficient travel routes while considering traffic and weather conditions.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and fuel receipts when required.
- Follow all Maryland traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Be available for on-call assignments and communicate promptly regarding availability.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid Maryland Driver's License (or a valid driver's license from another U.S. state with the ability to legally drive in Maryland).
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or DUI convictions within the past 5 years.
- At least 2 years of driving experience preferred.
- Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when assisting with luggage or company equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and courteous demeanor.
- Familiarity with Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia roadways is preferred.
- Must own a smartphone and be reachable by phone or text during scheduled on-call periods.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving luxury vehicles, limousines, executive transportation, or private chauffeurs.
- Knowledge of airport, marina, and executive transportation procedures.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay (DOE).
- On-call stipend (if applicable).
- Paid for all driving time and approved company-related travel.
- Mileage reimbursement when using a personal vehicle for authorized company business (if applicable).
