The Muffler Shop is looking for a dependable, customer-friendly Smog Technician to join our growing team.
This position is primarily focused on performing Nevada emissions (smog) inspections. During busy periods, you'll also assist our front office by greeting customers, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and supporting our Service Writer.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform Nevada emissions (smog) inspections accurately and efficiently
- Conduct gasoline, diesel, and AWD emissions inspections
- Maintain accurate inspection records
- Follow Nevada emissions regulations and procedures
- Keep the inspection area clean, organized, and ready for customers
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assist the Service Writer during busy periods
- Greet customers with a friendly, professional attitude
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Schedule appointments and answer basic customer questions
- Help create an exceptional customer experience from check-in through vehicle pick-up
Qualifications
- Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Able to drive a vehicle with a stick-shift
- Obtain the D-1 license within 90 days of employment
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable interacting with customers and working as part of a team
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized workspace
- Self-motivated and willing to jump in wherever needed
- Able to perform the physical requirements of diesel emissions inspections, including securing vehicles on the dyno
- Basic computer skills
- Valid Nevada driver's license with a clean driving record
- Nevada Emissions License preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate
