Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating excavators and other heavy machinery. The Excavator Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment.
Location: Poplarville, MS (and surrounding project sites)
Responsibilities:
- Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate large excavators to perform excavation, grading, and other construction tasks.
- Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct daily pre-operational and post-operational inspections of the excavator to ensure its safe and efficient operation. Perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Work in a high-safety culture environment.
- Job Site Preparation: Prepare the worksite for excavation, including clearing the area and setting up safety barriers.
- Project Completion: Complete assigned tasks on time and within budget, while maintaining high quality standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating large excavators
- Strong understanding of excavator mechanics and maintenance
- Experience in clearing land (preferred)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to work 50+ hours per week
Compensation:
Pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
