Skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and operation of County facilities and related system mechanical equipment. Performs minor electrical preventative maintenance and carries out assignments requiring technical application of principles of electricity and the skilled repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical components and equipment. Has lead worker responsibilities when working with a crew. Primarily responsible for equipment and machinery maintenance and repair, but duties may also include plant operation and general maintenance tasks. Most repair work is performed based on daily inspections or reports from Plant Operators or the immediate Supervisor. Work is performed under the general supervision of a technical superior and is reviewed primarily through the efficient operation of equipment and machinery.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of experience in facility plant equipment repair or industrial mechanical and electrical repair work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
- Formal training in electrical building maintenance, including repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical components and equipment.
