What You Can Expect:
We are seeking a meticulous, proactive, and passionate Associate Attorney to join our growing team. In this position, you'll become an integral part of our Estate Planning team with opportunities to grow into our additional practice areas if desired. This role offers the chance to be part of a solid foundation of a rapidly growing firm and allows you the opportunity to gain real-world experience and meaningfully contribute to the firm’s quality client service.
Here’s an example of what our Associate Attorney might do in a day:
- Client Care and Communication: You’re not just someone handling a transaction, our attorneys become an extended part of our client’s circle handling some of the most complex situations in our client’s lives. Whether you’re just drafting a simple Will or representing our client in court we strive to treat each client’s situation like the most important task on our list. Regularly checking in with clients, working on their matters with urgency and precision, and providing legally sound feedback and follow-up will be paramount for you to succeed in this role.
- Meaningful Legal Work: A majority of your day will be spent on client work. Drafting, reviewing, legal research and writing, and client meetings will become the cornerstone of your week. While we take pride in our collaborative approach, we also value individual initiative and empowered autonomy. You won’t find us looking over your shoulder, rather a gentle hand on your back guiding you when you need it.
- Continual Education and Growth: Our firm is small and boutique in nature but our hands on approach and emphasis on teamwork is the perfect setting for growth, contribution, and collaboration. You will never hear us say “no” if you express an interest in learning and growing within your practice area or gaining exposure to another. - Experience in Estate Planning would be helpful but is not required;
- Barred in the State of Delaware or will become barred within the next 3 months;
- Reliable and team-oriented;
- Excellent written and verbal communicator;
- Ability to work independently, but also works well as part of a team;
- Organized, attentive to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks;
- Self-motivated and takes initiative without constant direction;
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; and
- Available M-F 8:30 – 4:30.
