The Southampton School District seeks a Special Education Teacher for our High School.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide instruction in accordance with individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
Provide instruction and support to students with developmental disabilities in a classroom setting.
Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to foster a supportive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies as necessary.
Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behavior.
Utilize communication skills to engage with students and their families effectively.
Requirements:
- Applicants MUST hold a valid NYS Special Education certification 7-12 or All Grades
- Dual Certification in a content area recommended
