The Business Development will be responsible for driving business growth among industrial clients, with a focus on RNA (oligonucleotides, siRNA, ASO) and protein/antibody CRO services.
This role is highly customer-facing and growth-oriented, targeting biotech, pharmaceutical, and industrial R&D customers. You will identify and develop new business opportunities, build long-term strategic partnerships, and work closely with technical, project, and operations teams to convert customer needs into successful commercial engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business development activities for RNA or protein/antibody CRO services, focusing on industrial clients.
- Identify and build a robust pipeline of target clients, develop a prioritized customer visit plan, and actively pursue new business opportunities while fostering strong relationships with existing clients.
- Understand customer R&D pipelines and outsourcing needs, and translate them into actionable BD opportunities and deal strategies.
- Provide market and competitive intelligence, including customer feedback, pricing trends, and emerging industry needs.
- Support company branding and market presence through industry conferences, trade shows, and targeted BD events.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline and forecast updates to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction, and assist with other tasks as assigned by the company or department.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or above in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related life science fields.
- Proven track record in business development or key account management with industrial biotech or pharmaceutical clients.
- Strong understanding of industrial R&D workflows, outsourcing models, and CRO engagement processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
