Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and promoting oral health education. This position requires a strong focus on patient assessment and care, as well as proficiency in various dental software systems.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine oral health status.
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical records accurately using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software.
- Assist in infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care in general dentistry and pediatrics.
- Review documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Provide compassionate patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have during their visit.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
- Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols is essential.
- Familiarity with Dentrix dental software is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in patient assessment and documentation review.
- Experience working in general dentistry and pediatrics is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
