JOB DESCRIPTION
AFTERCARE TEACHER
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Supervise students and plan activities for our preschool extended day or our elementary aftercare.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. Exhibit affection for the child and knowledge of their needs and development.
2. Work within the guidelines of the established curriculum and lesson plan.
5. Communicate with parents.
7. Encourage positive Church/School relations.
8. Follow basic Lutheran teaching and look for opportunities to bring Jesus into the classroom.
9. Dress in a professional, practical manner.
10.Attend all staff meetings and functions of the school
11. Inform the Principal of any situation that could require administrative attention.
12.Notify the Principal in advance of any supplies that should be ordered through the academy office.
13.Perform any additional assignments as assigned.
14. Insure that classroom is clean and well organized.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:
Experience with children in an educational setting is a plus.
COMMENTS:
Perform all duties and functions as a representative of the Staff of Holy Cross Lutheran
Academy. Teachers should pay special attention to interpersonal relationships with students, staff, school, families, and the congregation. Teachers should be a positive influence on all individuals they come in contact with.
