Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Mobile Mechanic to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle fleets at various job sites. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on heavy equipment, farm machinery, trucks, and industrial systems using schematics and electrical testing tools
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other heavy machinery
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, cutting, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, air brakes, transmissions, suspension systems, and HVAC components to identify issues quickly
- Replace or repair mechanical systems including shocks & struts, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, and tire services
- Maintain detailed service records documenting repairs performed and parts used for each job
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Automotive Service Technician with dealership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems repair including hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, and diesel engines
- Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize power tools effectively for fabrication and repair tasks
- Hands-on experience with heavy truck repair, forklift operation, excavator maintenance, crane servicing, and farm machinery is highly desirable
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and electrical system troubleshooting techniques
- Physical ability to lift heavy components safely during maintenance tasks; comfortable performing heavy lifting regularly
- Valid certification or license related to heavy equipment operation or automotive repair is a plus
