ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Curatorial: Works with the director of galleries to develop exhibition themes and assist with exhibition design and installation.

Collections: Assists with collection cataloging, digitization, and the process of new donations and acquisitions.

Research: Researches artwork and artists in the collection.
-
Student Engagement: Assists the director of galleries with student engagement projects, including facilitating Chico State class visits and working with student interns.

Performs other duties as assigned.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BFA) in art history, studio art, art education, or an equivalent field.

Ability to conduct art historical research with a high attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks independently.
Preferred Qualifications
-
One year of museum or curatorial experience.
-
Coursework, research, or work experience related to printmaking.
