Overview
A growing organization within the insurance and financial services space is seeking a Accounting Analyst to support complex reporting and analytical functions. This role sits within a finance team focused on interpreting data, ensuring accuracy of financial results, and supporting business decision-making through detailed analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review quarterly financial reports across multiple regulatory and internal reporting frameworks

Analyze large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and key drivers

Collaborate closely with actuarial, audit, and finance teams to validate results and ensure reporting accuracy

Develop and maintain supporting documentation, reconciliations, and schedules for internal and external stakeholders

Evaluate client or business unit data submissions and ensure alignment with contractual or reporting guidelines

Investigate discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and improve reporting processes where needed

Support audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries

Contribute to forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting activities

Act as a resource for junior team members and assist with reviewing work where applicable
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

5+ years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience

Strong understanding of financial reporting concepts and data analysis

Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems or data tools is a plus
