Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections with attention to detail and presentation.
- Decorate cakes and desserts using various artistic methods to fulfill customer specifications..
- Package finished products carefully to ensure freshness and quality during delivery or display.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards.
- Handle food ingredients responsibly, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and sanitation practices are followed.
- Assist in food production tasks such as mixing, baking, and portioning ingredients for various menu items.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers’ special requests or dietary needs professionally and courteously.
Qualifications
- Working the night shift is a mandatory requirement.
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
- Skilled in culinary techniques including knife skills, food preparation, and cooking methods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Prior baking experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
