Job Summary/Basic Function
The responsibility of this temporary position is to provide assistance to students enrolled in the Math courses, with a primary focus on corequisite Math courses. This position will be providing support in and out of the classroom, as needed by students and the instructor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated competence (at least an A-) in MATH 107 (Liberal Arts Math), MATH 110 (College Algebra), or MATH 140 (Pre-Calculus) or a comparable course.
- Completed the equivalent of two years of college course work.
- Strong foundation in math skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with teaching or tutoring.
- Candidate must be committed to student retention and success and display exceptional interpersonal and team-working skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference to candidates with experience in individual and group mentoring and tutoring at the college level.
- Two years’ experience working at the college level.
Work Schedule
MATH 105C TR 4:00-7:00pm or MATH 107C MW 11:00-2:00pm
