This contract opportunity near Champaign, IL, is seeking passionate Special Education Teachers to provide high-quality instruction and support for K-8th grade students. With two openings available, the school is actively searching for one educator with an LBS1 certification and a second with Early Childhood certification.
Work closely with a small caseload of fewer than 10 students, allowing for individualized attention and meaningful growth. The assignment runs full-time at 40 hours per week, kicking off with professional development days from August 13th to August 17th, and students starting on August 18th.
Key Qualifications:
- Illinois teaching certification: LBS1 for one position, Early Childhood Special Education for the other
- Experience teaching or supporting neurodiverse children in K-8 educational environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management abilities

Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction in accordance with students' IEPs
- Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families to ensure student success
- Adapt curriculum and develop resources accessible to all learners
- Track student progress, complete required documentation, and participate in annual IEP meetings
- Engage in professional development and contribute to a positive school culture
