***Qualifications
- **Required**: New York State Early Childhood Teaching Certification (B-2 or N-6)
- Experienced needed: Previous experience teaching in preschool, 3-K, or daycare settings strongly preferred
- Experience with UPK (Universal Pre-K) programs is a plus
- Bilingual is plus
*** Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with **Common Core Learning Standards**, **Creative Curriculum**, **Building Blocks**, and **Work Sampling** frameworks.
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development.
- Lead daily classroom routines, smooth transitions, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Conduct developmental screenings, monitor children’s progress, and maintain accurate records and assessments.
- Collaborate with families through regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and partnership-building to support each child’s growth.
- Promote professional growth within the classroom team and actively participate in DOE trainings and staff development opportunities.
- Incorporate diverse teaching approaches, including literacy, math, physical education, play-based learning, and Montessori-inspired activities.
- Support children with special needs and work closely with early intervention specialists as needed.
- Perform other classroom and program-related duties to ensure high-quality learning experiences.

- Deep knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning abilities
- Experience working with diverse learners, including children with special needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with children, families, and colleagues
- Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy instruction, math concepts, and physical development activities
- Ability to create an inclusive, culturally responsive, and welcoming classroom environment
- Passion for working collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
