Chef Tim Love is on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Smokehouse Pitmaster to lead our barbecue operations with expertise and enthusiasm. Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire smoking process, ensuring meats are prepared and cooked to perfection according to established recipes and standards.
- Manage daily operations of the smokehouse for all companies, including training and supervising staff, assigning tasks, and maintaining a smooth workflow.
- Train and mentor team members in proper smoking techniques, safety procedures, and customer service practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the smokehouse area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Handle cash transactions accurately when needed, including guest payments and order processing.
- Engage with guests to provide excellent service, answer questions about menu items, and promote our signature smoked dishes.
- Manage inventory levels for meats, wood supplies, seasonings, and other essentials; report shortages or issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven management or supervising experience in a culinary or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Experience working in a casino or similar entertainment environment is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Ability to handle conflict management professionally while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations.
- Knowledge of smoking techniques, meat preparation, and food safety standards is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
