Township Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly organized Part-Time Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing small animal practice. This position is ideal for someone with prior veterinary experience who enjoys helping clients, supporting patient care, and thriving in a fast-paced hospital environment.
As the first point of contact for our clients, the CSR plays a vital role in creating a positive experience while ensuring smooth hospital operations.
Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional client service, scheduling appointments, managing medical records, processing payments, and supporting communication between clients and the medical team.
Veterinary Experience Required
Applicants must have prior experience working in a veterinary hospital or animal care setting and be familiar with:
- Veterinary terminology
- Vaccine schedules and preventative care recommendations
- Prescription refill processes
- Basic understanding of common veterinary procedures and diagnostics
- Client communication regarding medical recommendations
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and patients with professionalism and compassion
- Answer multi-line phone systems and respond to client inquiries
- Schedule appointments, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures
- Check patients in and out of appointments
- Process invoices and payments accurately
- Manage medical records and documentation
- Coordinate prescription refill requests
- Assist with client communications regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and assistants
- Provide outstanding customer service during both routine and urgent situations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year veterinary hospital experience required
- Experience with veterinary software preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Schedule
- Part-time position
- Approximately 20–30 hours per week
- Some Saturdays may be required
