What You'll Do
As a Human Resources Specialist, you'll provide administrative support to the HR department while helping ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across a variety of HR functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain strict confidentiality with employee and departmental information.
- Monitor and track professional licenses for clinical staff, ensuring renewals are received, verified, and accurately entered into UKG.
- Run monthly licensure reports and send 30-, 60-, and 90-day renewal reminders to employees and supervisors.
- Notify leadership of expired or lapsed licenses to ensure compliance.
- Enter employee licenses and credentials into UKG accurately and promptly.
- Process performance evaluations through UKG and distribute monthly evaluation reminders.
- Send late evaluation notices and communicate with supervisors regarding outstanding evaluations.
- Reconcile monthly HR company credit card statements and submit documentation by required deadlines.
- Prepare, proofread, and edit correspondence, reports, and other HR documents.
- Maintain HR files and documentation in accordance with agency procedures.
- Distribute exit evaluations for separating employees and route completed evaluations for review.
- Distribute monthly job description revisions to managers.
- Update departmental training materials and job manuals annually.
- Assist with onboarding by processing new hires and rehires into the HRIS as needed.
- Support departmental projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of administrative or office experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Valid Ohio driver's license, reliable transportation, and an insurable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a Human Resources department.
- Coursework or formal education in Human Resources.
- Experience using HRIS systems such as UKG.
