Balkema Sitework and Development is seeking dedicated and hard working Sitework Laborers to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Hand digging as necessary
- Job site clean up
- Communication with other crew members and supervisors
- working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- move materials around job site
- use and understand hand signals
- Assist with site clearing, grading, and excavation tasks
- Load and unload materials and equipment needed for construction activities
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery under supervision
- Help with setting up safety barriers and signage around the work site
- Support team members in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe workplace
- Perform general labor duties as assigned by supervisors to meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades preferred.
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades such as plumbing, electrical work, or masonry is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow safety guidelines
- Prior Sitework Labor experience is preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in outdoor conditions
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices is a plus
- Valid Driver's License
