Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Summer Camp and Before & After School Co-Director for Kindergarten through 5th Grade to lead our dynamic program in Lake Stevens. This position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire children, coordinate engaging activities, and ensure a safe, enriching experience for all children. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for working with students, strong leadership skills, and experience working with children at the elementary level. EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
This position is Summer Camp until the beginning of the school year, followed by leading our program before and after school, with a break while school is in session aka a split shift on school days.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily operations of summer camp and before & after school program of up to 30 children, ages Kindergarten through 5th grade.
- Develop, implement, and supervise age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development
- Coordinate schedules, staff assignments, and program logistics to ensure smooth daily operations
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and safety
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety protocols, and center policies
- Support staff training and professional development to maintain high standards of care and education
Qualifications
- Higher education teaching experience or background in early childhood or elementary education. Must have a minimum of 12, 100 -level or above college credits, a background check, and all other DCYF requirements
- Strong knowledge of teaching methods suitable for young children from Kindergarten through 5th grade
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community partners
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Passion for fostering positive learning environments that support student growth and development

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
