Job Title: Facilities Associate
Reports to: Director of Facilities
Schedule: Days, Evenings, Weekends
Status: Hourly – Non-exempt

Job Summary
Work as a team within the Facilities department to provide custodial, event set up or project work, as assigned to ensure clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing campus.
Responsibilities

Follow established work plans and procedures.

Participate in the neat and orderly function of the Facilities office and workspaces.

Identify, trouble shoot and reprioritize work as needed during shift.

Properly care for, store and transport tables, chairs, audio visual equipment, etc.
- Assist with daily and regular housekeeping tasks as needed. Effectively and efficiently set up and break down event space to client specifications and organizational procedures. Ensure that all requested equipment is available, in working order and set up appropriately.
- Follow proper event set up according to BEO’s and floor plans.

Comply with established procedures for proper care, storage and maintenance of all furnishings, artwork, and equipment to extend useful life.

Ensure that facilities are cleaned and prepared at all times.

Ensure the proper staging and aesthetic appearance of public spaces through ongoing monitoring of the building.

Certify that all supplies are maintained in sufficient quantities, good order and according to budget.
- Ensure that all rooms and functions are aesthetically pleasing and representative of the premier nature of the venue.

Check and maintain all employee offices throughout the week by, removing trash and cleaning any necessary areas.

Comply with safety and security procedures for opening and closing buildings. Notify management of safety or emergency issues.

Be familiar with emergency response protocol, calling 911, location of first aid and defibrillator, fire extinguishers. Be familiar with proper completion of incident report forms.

Follow safe lifting and transport of furnishings and equipment.
- Assist Management in creating policies and procedures on safety and security measures.

Serve staff, regular groups, and tenants for daily requests for service.

Previous custodial, landscaping or maintenance experience, preferred

Present professional and cordial demeanor to staff, patrons, and tenants

Ability to perform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities

Occasional lifting required up to 50 lbs.

Frequent and prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending required
