Under direct supervision of the DON, the RN or LVN will provide intermittent Skilled Nursing services to patients in their home setting according to the Patients' individualized Plan of Care. This individual must be able to read, write and speak English and Spanish fluently.
Requirements:
Must be currently licensed in the state of Texas or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse License Compact (NCL). Successfully complete the Agency Competency Test, and to successfully complete a background screening, including criminal history and work references. Have at least one year experience as a professional nurse preferred.
Duties include but not limited to:
Participate in the planning, evaluation, and implementation of individualized patients' care plans.
Be able to perform the following skilled duties independently:
- PICC/Central line management and maintenance
- Administer medication via Central Line
- TPN Administration and Management
- Venipuncture (blood draws)
- Specimen Collections
- Administer injections
- Wound care (wound vac,)
- Teaching and assessing Patient's knowledge on chronic or acute diseases.
