The Cook performs his/her duties under the direct supervision of the Dining Services Director. S/he performs a variety of food services/cooking, such as, but not limited to:

Prepares meals for up to 62 residents

Understands and follows proper food handling and storage procedures

Dishwasher (will train)

Check in deliveries and stocking
-
Cross training for additional shifts in other positions depending on ability

2 Years Cooking Experience Necessary
This individual will have the following qualifications:
-
Minimum of two (2) year prior cooking experience in a commercial kitchen, able to follow a written recipe

Strong sanitation skills with additional cleaning duties assigned on other shifts as staffing needs dictate

Serve Safe Certification is a plus
- Able to stand for long periods, walk, bend, reach and lift up to 75 pounds
-
Must understand, write and speak English fluently
-
Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
-
Punctuality a must with local candidates strongly preferred

Qualified individuals will need to pass a background check and possibly fingerprinting
