Summary
We are seeking (1) dedicated EXPERIENCED Class A Heavy Tow Truck Operator Or Train the right person to join our team at Steve Geyer's Towing. In this role, you will be responsible for providing reliable towing services and assisting customers in need of roadside assistance. Your commitment to excellent customer service will be key in helping us maintain our reputation for quality. Lots located Germantown, MD and Mt Airy, MD.
Pay is based on experience (BY HOUR AND COMMISSION)
Responsibilities (heavy/medium/tow driver)
- Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles.
- Provide exceptional customer service while assisting clients with their towing needs.
- Perform vehicle inspections and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Manage roadside assistance calls and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of services rendered and vehicle condition.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery.
Requirements (heavy/medium/tow driver)
- Valid commercial Class A driver's license (CDL) required.
- Must have clean driving/almost clean record for insurance
- Proven experience in towing or commercial driving preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and automatic tow trucks.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and minor repairs is a plus.
- Conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Must pass random drug test
- Must have a valid DOT card
- Must have a smart phone
- Must live within reason to Germantown or Mt Airy areas for over night calls and police calls/recovery
- Operating tow book is a plus
- Must have transportation to work
- Nights and weekends alternate (this is a requirement)
