Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Foreman/Supervisor to lead and oversee welding projects with energy and precision. This role is vital in coordinating projects, managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in management, excellent leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of welding regulations and safety standards. As a Foreman/Supervisor, you will drive project success by supervising crews, reviewing blueprints, managing budgets, and ensuring quality control across all phases of construction projects. Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage welding crews on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications
- Assist crew as needed with projects to ensure project deadlines are met
- Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to coordinate project activities effectively
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure timely completion
- Oversee safety compliance by enforcing OSHA standards and federal safety regulations across all job sites
- Coordinate construction schedule activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize workflow and resource allocation
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality control, adherence to blueprints, and compliance with welding regulations
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs, reviewing contracts, and performing accurate construction estimating
- Review contracts and manage change orders while maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders
- Lead team meetings to communicate project goals, safety protocols, progress updates, and problem-solving strategies
- Supervise the interpretation of technical drawings and schematics while managing construction drawing review processes
- Oversee welding site safety management by implementing OSHA protocols and federal safety standards to minimize risks
- Ensure proper crew management through effective supervision of labor force including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
Experience
- Proven experience managing welding projects from initiation through completion
- Extensive background in management with a focus on safety compliance and quality assurance
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret complex welding plans accurately
- Strong knowledge of scheduling
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, cost control, or similar estimating tools
- Supervisory experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment with excellent crew management skills
- Familiarity with OSHA standards as well as federal and local welding safety regulations
- Ability to manage and assist with multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
