Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estate Planning Attorney position based in Cranston, Rhode Island.
We are seeking an attorney with 1–2+ years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration who is passionate about helping individuals and families protect what matters most.
The ideal candidate will have experience assisting clients with estate planning matters and will continue developing their skills through mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on experience managing client relationships.
The attorney will work closely with experienced attorneys, legal staff, the Chief Operating Officer, and referral partners while managing matters from initial client meetings through completion.

Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand estate planning goals and assist in developing customized legal strategies.
- Draft and review estate planning documents, including:
- Wills
- Revocable and irrevocable trusts
- Powers of attorney
- Healthcare directives
- Deeds
- Other estate planning documents
- Assist with probate and estate administration matters from commencement through completion.
- Assist with trust administration matters, including communication with fiduciaries and beneficiaries.
- Prepare probate pleadings, petitions, inventories, accountings, and related court documents.
- Attend probate court hearings as necessary.
- Assist with trust funding and asset transfer processes.
- Draft deeds and assist with estate-related real estate matters.
- Conduct legal research and remain current on Rhode Island and Massachusetts estate planning laws.
- Communicate professionally with clients, financial advisors, accountants, financial institutions, and courts.
- Maintain accurate time records and manage workload using legal practice management software.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to provide exceptional client service.
- Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and leadership team to improve client experience and firm operations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Rhode Island.
- Massachusetts admission preferred or willingness to obtain admission.
- 1–2+ years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
- Strong understanding of estate planning principles, trusts, probate procedures, and estate settlement.
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical, research, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client matters while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong willingness to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility.
- Experience with legal practice management software preferred.
