Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to assist with accurate diagnoses while maintaining proper safety standards.
- Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs during procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures tailored to pediatric or general dentistry needs.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic technique, and medical coding standards.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanner technology for comprehensive diagnostics.
- Ability to perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient health during treatments in compliance with safety protocols.
- Skilled in chairside assisting across diverse specialties such as endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and general dentistry procedures.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of medical records and patient information.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the dental team and provide outstanding patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
