We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for handling the day-to-day payroll duties, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. This role requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of payroll processes, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Process payroll for employees accurately and on time.

Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies.

Enter and update payroll data in our system.

Prepare and issue paychecks or electronic transfers to employees.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll.

Assist in responding to employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and timekeeping.

Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and update employee files as needed.

Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting for accounting and auditing purposes.

Work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree in accounting or business is a plus.

Previous experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar payroll processing role.

Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations is preferred.
