Position Summary: The Program Supervisor oversees one program under the direction of the Program Manager. The Program Supervisor ensures compliance with all aspects of the program related to the person served, the Organization, the employees, and property. The Program Supervisor is responsible for providing effective leadership and accountability to foster growth and development in the team or Direct Support Staff. The Program Supervisor will provide comprehensive personal care, guidance, and appropriate support person served to prepare and promote each individual to live as independently as possible.
Employees maybe subjected to physical aggression such as: hitting, kicking, punching, biting and pushing, also verbal aggression can occur.
Full Time status requires 36+ hours per week.
All staff are required to work every other weekend.
Supervisor is required to pass a regular background check and child fostercare background check through DHS.
Essential Duties: Provide site leadership as the program representative for individuals served:
· Continuously build and maintain rapport with individuals served, client teams, staff, co-workers and organized leadership by utilizing effective interpersonal relations and conflict resolution skills.
· Provides the appropriate supports tailored to the needs and desires of each individual served. Enable each to live as independently as possible.
· Foster a positive living environment for individuals served and a positive working environment for staff.
· Provide continual input, development, improvement, and implementation to individual program planning for persons served.
· Follow and implement persons served plan of care, goals, programs, or other applicable and required plans accurately as schedule requires.
· Maintain records, document, chart, and track persons served information as designated by Focused Living procedures in applicable communication books, medication tracking, progress notes, health progress notes, and any behavioral management programs and/or persons served programs. Ensure that the staff are recording the required information in a timely and accurate manner.
· Manage the weekly grocery shopping and personal needs shopping, including planning the menus according to the program, writing grocery list, and adhering to the site budget.
· Professionally represent the Organization and Department or Site to current employees, volunteers, vendors, and community.
Provide care to individuals served:
· Supervise individuals served and foster their development by running the programs and helping them achieve their goals.
· Correctly manage, order, and administer persons served medications and treatment as ordered by physician. Ensure staff correctly administer persons served medications and treatment as ordered by physician.
· Schedule, provide and assist in transportation for persons served to and from appointments, events, and other activities.
· Provide opportunities and assistance for persons served in meeting social needs by encouraging participation in leisure/recreational activities and increasing community interaction.
· Provide assistance with persons served financial management, weekly budgets, according to Focused Living persons served fund guidelines and procedures.
· Assist male and female persons served with personal cares, which may include toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and other daily living requirements.
Supervision of Staff:
· Actively supervise staff to ensure that the programs are implemented and the tasks at the site are completed. Ensure that Focused Living policies and procedures are being followed and that staff are positively interacting and engaging with the individuals served.
· Always ensure adequate shift coverage. This may include, but is not limited to, staying beyond a scheduled shift or covering/splitting open shifts with LSS and /or other Direct Support Staff.
· Train new staff, provide guidance and development for new and existing staff.
· Conduct performance evaluations, documented discussions, and/or disciplinary actions in a timely manner.
· Complete and submit reports in a timely manner, including but not limited to Incident Reports, First Reports of Injury, Vehicle Accident or Vehicle Incident Reports, and Medication Error Reports.
Other Duties as Assigned:
· Supervise and assist in general upkeep and repair of facility and organization vehicles by completing schedules chores and promptly reporting any maintenance-related issues to Supervisor.
· Abide by Organization driving policies, procedures, and state driving laws.
· Actively participate in and contribute to at least one organizational committee.
· Participate in organizational events and activities.
· Perform and complete additional job duties as requested or directed by Program Manager, or Program Director, or Leadership Team.
Physical Demands:
The tasks of this position generally require duties to be performed by:
· Regularly lift up to 20lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 50lbs. to waist height unaccompanied.
· Alternate sitting, standing and walking during the shift.
· Frequently stand, twist, walk, bend or stoop.
· Frequently apply coordinated use of hands and fingers to grasp, feel objects, transfer small items from one hand to another, fine manipulation, and bilateral reach with arms.
· Use of close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Focused Living Inc’s office hours are Monday-Friday 8a-4p. The Program Director will be a Full -Time Exempt position and will work hours outside of regular office hours including evenings and weekends. In addition, the Program Director will participate in the on-call system rotation to support program sites after office hours, holidays, and weekends.
· The work environment may be slow or fast paced, depending upon what is happening at the client home.
· Regularly work with others.
· The noise level in the home is generally moderate but can get loud.

· Education and Experience: High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- 2-3 years related experience preferred.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers and general public.
· Math Ability:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute ratios, rate and draw and interpret bar graphs.
· Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
· Computer Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook.
· Certifications and Licenses:
- Maintain a valid Class D drivers license and compliance with the Organizational insurance driving guidelines.
- Maintain Medication Administration certifications, including authorization to test out others.
