Big Bend Hospice is looking for a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Hospice Home Care team for Leon County. If you have a heart for serving others and find purpose in providing comfort, dignity, and companionship to patients and families, we'd love to have you on our team.
As a Hospice CNA, you'll build meaningful relationships while helping patients remain comfortable in the place they call home.
Monday–Friday Schedule | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Rotating Holiday Schedule
Competitive Starting Compensation - $18 - $20 per hour + Double-Time Pay for Holidays Worked

As a Hospice CNA, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse to provide compassionate personal care that enhances comfort, dignity, and quality of life for hospice patients.
Your responsibilities include:

Assisting patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene

Providing comfort measures and emotional support

Assisting with mobility, transfers, positioning, and safety

Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition to the nursing team

Assisting with meals and daily living activities

Teaching caregivers proper hygiene and comfort techniques

Ensuring patients have the supplies and equipment they need to remain safe and comfortable at home

Accurately documenting care provided
These responsibilities reflect the Hospice Home Care CNA role, including providing personal care, reporting patient changes, assisting with activities of daily living, educating caregivers, and supporting the hospice plan of care.
Required Qualifications

Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Current CPR certification

Valid Florida driver's license

Reliable transportation with current auto insurance

Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred

One year of recent clinical experience

Hospice and/or Home Health experience

Hospice & Palliative Care certification
