We're looking for a motivated Project Manager who takes ownership of projects, builds strong relationships with clients and subcontractors, and helps us continue growing.
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects from contract signing through final completion. This position coordinates subcontractors, schedules work, communicates with homeowners, manages project budgets, resolves jobsite issues, and ensures every project is completed safely, on time, and to Crosby's Construction standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple active construction projects simultaneously.
- Create and maintain project schedules.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and material deliveries.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor quality, safety, and progress.
- Communicate proactively with homeowners throughout each project.
- Review project budgets and track costs to maintain profitability.
- Prepare and manage change orders.
- Work closely with the office to keep JobTread project files accurate and up to date.
- Verify subcontractor scopes before work begins.
- Identify scheduling conflicts and resolve issues before they impact production.
- Ensure work complies with plans, specifications, building codes, and company quality standards.
- Lead weekly project meetings and provide status updates to ownership.
- Maintain organized project documentation, photos, RFIs, selections, permits, and inspection records.
- Close projects efficiently, including punch lists, final inspections, and customer walkthroughs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in residential or commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling.
- Ability to read architectural plans and construction documents.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using construction management software (JobTread preferred; Buildertrend, Procore, or similar considered).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Florida construction experience.
- Knowledge of permitting and inspections.
- Experience with renovations, additions, and custom homes.
- OSHA certification is a plus.
