Innovated Partners LLC is seeking experienced Aerospace Engineer "Space SME" to join our growing subcontractor network in support of future government training and education initiatives.
We are seeking professionals with broad expertise across the space domain who can collaborate with instructional designers and curriculum developers to create engaging, modern learning experiences for adult learners.
The ideal candidate possesses deep technical knowledge of the space enterprise along with experience supporting curriculum development, instructional content, or professional education programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Selected subcontractors may be responsible for:
- Providing technical expertise across multiple space mission areas.
- Developing instructional content covering topics such as:
- Space sustainability
- Orbital regimes
- National and international space programs
- Space history
- Commercial space operations
- Applying accepted Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and adult learning methodologies.
- Supporting development of engaging instructor-led and online learning experiences.
- Aligning curriculum with established Terminal Learning Objectives (TLOs) and Enabling Learning Objectives (ELOs).
- Designing active, cohort-based learning experiences rather than lecture-only instruction.
- Supporting synchronous and asynchronous online instruction.
- Creating multimedia instructional materials including graphics, videos, audio, visual aids, and interactive learning content.
- Developing Section 508-compliant instructional products.
- Producing editable source files and Learning Management System (LMS)-compatible deliverables.
- Participating in virtual working sessions with project leadership.
- Supporting pilot deliveries and incorporating stakeholder feedback into curriculum updates.
- Assisting with continuous improvement of instructional products throughout project execution.
- Contributing to quality control documentation and project reporting.
- Supporting transition and configuration management activities for final deliverables.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should possess many of the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more space mission disciplines.
- Strong understanding of U.S. and international space programs.
- Knowledge of commercial space activities and current industry trends.
- Experience supporting curriculum development or instructional content.
- Experience applying adult learning principles and Instructional Systems Design methodologies.
- Experience developing instructor guides, student guides, lesson plans, or assessments.
- Experience supporting virtual or online learning environments.
- Ability to produce professional written technical documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to meet project schedules and deliver high-quality work products.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in:
- Government or Department of Defense training environments.
- Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- SCORM-compliant courseware development.
- Multimedia production.
- Storyboarding and instructional graphics.
- Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Assessment development and evaluation methodologies.
- Curriculum modernization initiatives.
- Space education or professional military education.
- Technical writing and instructional documentation.
WORK ARRANGEMENT
- Remote
- Independent Contractor (1099) or Subcontractor Company
- Flexible project-based engagement
- Periodic virtual meetings required
Typical project activities may include recurring working-group sessions, milestone-based deliverables, and iterative curriculum development throughout the project lifecycle.

Pay: $90.00 - $105.00 per hour
