We are currently seeking a part-time Recovery Concierge to work at a high-profile client’s fitness center located in Midtown New York, NY.
This position offers 20 hours per week, working Monday through Thursday, with 5-hour shifts and varying start times.
Job Overview:
The Recovery Concierge supports daily facility operations while delivering recovery and wellness services that enhance mobility, movement quality, and overall well-being. This role provides stretching, corrective exercise, and member education, coordinates wellness programming, maintains equipment and recovery spaces, and partners with the client to promote employee health through engaging recovery initiatives.
What you will do:

Mange daily facility operations, membership services and enrollment, wellness room reservations, and program logistics.

Provide recovery services focusing on mobility, flexibility, movement quality and overall wellness.

Deliver stretching, mobility, corrective exercise, movement education and recovery interventions.

Educate members on injury prevention, movement techniques, and recovery best practices.

Deliver presentations, workshops, and educational events focused on recovery, movement health, and injury prevention.

Set up, maintain, and sanitize equipment to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Evaluate program outcomes and recommend enhancements to improve the member experience.
Partner with the client to develop and execute an annual calendar of recovery, wellness, and musculoskeletal health programs.
What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or a related field AND NASM Stretching and Flexibility Coach certification

Experience with any of the following:

Manual therapy – may include instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM
-
Stretch therapy – may include passive stretch techniques, active release techniques (ART), fascial stretch therapy (FST), proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), active isolated stretch therapy (AIS).

Facilitated recovery technology support – may include Percussive SMR equipment, pneumatic compression therapy, hot and cold therapies, infrared therapy, cryotherapy, and meditation pods.

Massage therapy – may include a variety of techniques including Swedish, deep tissues, sports, prenatal, trigger point, reflexology, etc.

Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and build strong relationships that drive member satisfaction, retention, and results.

Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and administrative responsibilities effectively.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment in a dynamic environment.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to motivate, educate, and engage diverse populations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and the ability to effectively utilize internal operating systems, scheduling platforms, and performance-tracking tools.

Ability to analyze client outcomes, member feedback, and program performance metrics to support continuous improvement and business growth.
