Overview
Join our compassionate team as a full-time Personal Care Assistant (PCA) working the second shift from 3pm to 11pm. In this vital role, you will provide dedicated support to individuals with diverse needs, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability.
- Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in dining areas and kitchens.
- Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to foster socialization and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident areas and common spaces.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Support residents’ emotional needs through compassionate communication and respectful interaction, ensuring their comfort and dignity are prioritized.
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ADL assistance techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care is essential.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personal support is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of care activities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations with first aid skills and proper response protocols.
- Long-term care experience that emphasizes patience, empathy, and excellent caregiving skills will set candidates apart.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
