We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Installer / Shop Manager to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The Lead Installer / Shop Manager will oversee daily shop operations while actively participating in vehicle accessory installations and service work. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical automotive experience, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and supervise installation technicians.
- Manage daily workflow, scheduling, and shop productivity.
- Ensure all installations meet company quality standards.
- Perform and assist with installation of vehicle accessories and aftermarket products.
- Troubleshoot installation and vehicle-related issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding products, services, and timelines.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of materials.
- Ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Support hiring, training, and performance management of shop personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with some or all of the following experience are strongly encouraged to apply:
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Previous experience managing or leading an automotive shop.
- Window tint installation experience.
- Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation experience.
- Automotive electrical experience, including:
- Remote starts
- Lighting installations
- Vehicle electronics
- Wiring and troubleshooting
- Experience installing truck and SUV accessories, including:
- Running boards
- Tonneau covers
- Lift kits
- Bed liners
- Vehicle protection products
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead by example.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
