Heart Auto & Fleet Services is looking for an experienced, hands-on mechanic who knows cars and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
We're looking for the kind of person who's been turning wrenches for years. Someone who can look at a problem, figure out what's going on, and get to work. If you're the person your friends and family call when something is making a weird noise, won't start, needs fixed, or just needs somebody who actually knows what they're looking at, we want to talk to you.
This isn't a position where you'll be doing the exact same repair all day. We work on a variety of vehicles and need someone who's comfortable jumping into whatever comes through the door.
What You'll Be Doing
- General automotive repair and maintenance
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle issues
- Brakes, suspension, steering, engine repairs, tune-ups, and other mechanical work
- Body repair and minor collision work
- Paint prep, sanding, masking, and painting
- Working on cars, trucks, and fleet vehicles
- Using your experience to figure things out when the answer isn't immediately obvious
- Keeping your work area and tools organized
- Making sure the job is done right before the vehicle leaves the shop
Who We're Looking For
We're not as concerned about fancy titles as we are about whether you actually know how to work on vehicles.
- 3+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience required
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability
- Body and paint experience is a big plus
- Comfortable working with your hands and getting dirty
- Able to work independently without needing someone looking over your shoulder
- Shows up, works hard, and takes pride in doing things right
- Has their own basic tools
- Valid driver's license
- Willing to learn and take on different types of work
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 50.0 per week
