Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Diagnoses, repairs, and refurbishes geotechnical drilling tools and equipment returned from the field, ensuring all repaired units meet performance and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspect returned drilling tools and equipment to assess damage and repair requirements

Disassemble, clean, and evaluate components for reuse or replacement

Perform mechanical repairs including threading, welding, and machining coordination

Reassemble and test repaired equipment to specification

Document repair findings, parts used, and labor on work orders

Communicate repair status and lead time to service manager

Maintain repair shop tools and equipment
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED
-
3+ years mechanical repair or field service experience

Ability to read technical manuals and drawings

Strong mechanical aptitude
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with geotechnical or directional drilling equipment

Welding or machining skills
-
NDT certification
