Schedules appointments for patients. Receives all phone calls and incoming. First person of contact and refers to appropriate department. Uses phone skills to assist all patients in a professional manner. Operates telephone switchboard to route, receive and place calls for dental assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: (Preferred)

High School or Equivalent
Experience: (Required)

One year experience operating a multi-line telephone or switch board system.

Bilingual.

Good organizational skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs incoming calls to department heads.

Provides general information on services provided to patients.

Takes messages for all employees in a timely manner.

Uses a six-line phone operation to maintain call flows and efficiency.

Highly organized and has attention to detail with important information.

Has advanced phone techniques for patient service.

Make patient appointments and reminder appointments for dental patients.

May schedule appointments for patients and specialty care.

May perform receptionist and/or routine clerical duties such as filling out forms, answering telephones, or filing.

Handles other duties as requested by the Dental staff or Clinic Manager.

Calms down nervous and frustrated patients when upset.

Handles duties as assigned by staff.

Outbound, calling out patients to either: book appointment, reminders, retention, reschedule, cancel, or as directed by Manager.

Receives Inbound Call and makes Outbound Calls.

Knows the organizational culture, department structure and environment.
