Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish execution to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices
- Follow food safety guidelines diligently to uphold health regulations and prevent cross-contamination
- Support catering events and special functions by preparing dishes efficiently and serving with professionalism
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and smooth kitchen operations
- Handle food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with food handling protocols
- Proven restaurant or kitchen experience, especially in fine dining settings, showcasing advanced culinary skills such as knife techniques and meal preparation
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, food industry practices, and catering services is a plus
- Excellent cooking skills with an eye for detail, presentation, and quality control
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure seamless service
