Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Senior Service Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial equipment. This hands-on role focuses on on-site service, diagnostics, and customer support while working closely with internal service and warehouse teams. The ideal candidate is technically strong, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and removal of assigned equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues through observation, testing, and sound analysis
- Disassemble equipment to access, repair, or replace defective parts
- Inspect parts for wear, dimensional changes, or defects and make necessary adjustments
- Install special functional and structural components
- Lubricate, clean, and test equipment to ensure proper performance
- Operate machine tools such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders to fabricate or repair parts
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical components and systems
- Provide phone-based technical support and recommend corrective actions when possible
- Complete detailed service documentation, including labor, travel time, and work performed
- Obtain customer purchase orders to cover labor, parts, and travel expenses
- Assess equipment conditions to identify future repair or maintenance needs
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Prepare service quotes for parts and labor, submit for customer approval, and follow up as needed
- Initiate internal purchase orders for parts and equipment
- Maintain organized digital service documentation, manuals, and parts information using a company-issued tablet
- Demonstrate ongoing improvement in technical skills, troubleshooting ability, and productivity
- Travel outside of assigned service territory as required
- Read and interpret CAD drawings
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on service or technician experience in an industrial or mechanical environment
- Associate’s degree, technical school training, or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with metalworking tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and email
- Valid driver’s license required

Pay: $32.00 - $41.00 per hour
