Job Summary
Join our team and be a part of Idaho’s largest pickleball club, The Flying Pickle! We are now open and need help in our restaurant, The Kitchen! The Kitchen employee is responsible for providing high-quality food, serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service for all guests. We are looking for motivated individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all guests and team members.
- Interact with customers in a friendly, fun, energetic and professional manner.
- Maintain food quality, freshness and portion control.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation and health department regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set up, stock and break down prep stations.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Serve food and beverages to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen/dining area.
- Wash dishes and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Assist with catering and private event food preparation when needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Previous restaurant, food service or kitchen experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time efficiently.
- A welcoming personality with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to handle customer concerns calmly and effectively.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift 40 lbs and walk up and down stairs.
